Happy Belated Valentines Day!

Happy belated Valentines Day bloggers! Sorry we could not get around to posting yesterday we were very busy. Yesterday started with school for us both, and then I had to go directly to work until close. : ( #WorkFlow #TiredDays #ThatPayCheckThough Photos of Valentines Day will soon be put up, as soon as we download all of them from the phones. : ) It was a great day, and only got better after work. I ended up buying two new shirts and a headband for Braeylen at my work, and I must say they are too cute! Stay Tuned for photos! Thanks for reading!

Taxes and a Haul

Do you ever have those days where you just want to lay in bed all day and not do anything? That is my day today. Unfortunately, that is not how things work. Just thought I would do a quick update on this busy Saturday before everything became too hectic. Today Lucas works from 11-2, and I work from 3:30 to about 10. :( #LonelyDay I have asked my father if he would like to go eat lunch together today, but with little response. He was doing my taxes, so I don't want to rush the man too badly. He is saying that I am only supposed to get about $91 back. That's so depressing, I owe my parents $295 and was going to pay that off with my tax return. :( #ThatsLife  But anyways, here are the pictures for the haul. Have to get to work! : ) Bye!!

Flu Season

Good morning everyone! Since our last post, I have gotten the flu. Bummer. : ( Yesterday Lucas stayed home from school to nurse me back to health. <3 #Husband I guess I should have listened and gotten a flu shot huh? My father brought over some medication last night along with Sprite, Orange Juice, Apple Juice, and Milk. He is such a sweetie! : ) My mother has been the "gate keeper" as I call her, letting me know that I shouldn't leave for any reason. (We went out to Wal-Mart last night for some cereal, etc.)  After a long thinking process I figured out where in my mind I got the flu from.
The other day, I had the honor of babysitting my nephew Jeremy. If only things had gone right from the start I think that my day wouldn't have turned into the flu. When I picked him up, he was far from ready. He didn't have any pants, and was only outfitted with a wet long sleeve onesie on. I was given shoes (no socks) and him. I found his diaper bag lodged under the couch and quickly looked inside to make sure wipes and diapers were at my disposal. When we left, I immediately took him to our house and rummaged through all the baby boy clothes that Lucas and I have stashed. All I could find was a long sleeve shirt and shorts that matched. I also found him a cute Sippy cup that was age appropriate and filled it with water. Better than nothing! That was when the thought of taking him to the mall hit me. SHOPPING! :D I piled him into the car, and started on the long 20 minute journey to the mall. No sooner had I parked the car that Jeremy was yelling "OUT!" Our first stop was my work, The Children's Place. I had put together a bag of things that I was going to try on him anyways the night before. We got a fitting room right away and that is when the screams and tears started coming out. He just did not want to cooperate for me what so ever. After finding a pair of black socks and some size 2T jeans on sale for $3.50, I stopped the madness and just checked out. My manager Kathleen sure did take a liking to Jeremy and even helped put his jeans and socks on once he had calmed down enough. New places are always scary. With Jeremy in tote, we headed to Finish Line to look at shoes. As soon as I stepped foot in the store, there were sales people rushing to help. As I blew by each and every one, and finally arrived at the baby section, Jeremy looked straight at a pair of Nikes and said "Those." Like the choice was really that easy. Ha-ha. But nonetheless they didn't have his size (size 8 toddler). Trying to explain to a 22 month old why he can't have something after he is promised it is quite the task. Ugh! He soon forgot and rushed out the door to the Children's play area across from the store. GERM CENTRAL! There were already children playing in the area when we got there, sneezing and coughing all over the place. I figured Jeremy wouldn't want to leave right when he got there so I let him play. He only slowed down enough for one picture.
That car was by far his favorite attraction in the area.  He also liked a boat, but all the kids wanted to be inside that at once, and all that came from that was a bunch of kids kicking each other and hitting. Jeremy has it in his head that he can climb up the slide as well. He went to go up the slide and tripped, falling onto his lip and biting down. Blood started pouring out of his lip and he started bawling. I picked him real quick, and got some wipes and napkins. I rocked him slowly until all the blood had stopped. There was quite a chunk taken out of his lip but he didn't seem to mind. He started shaking his head and when asked if he was shaking it off said "Yes." Ha-ha how cute. <3 By this time, we had been at the play area for about 30 minutes, and I could feel myself getting sicker by the moment. We decided to leave, and go get some food. That took us to Lincoln Land. I was expecting to have to pay at least $10 for a meal for both of us when we arrived, but was pleasantly surprised by the sign that read "FREE POPCORN." That was our lunch, some free popcorn and some water. Cheap but fulfilling. I had also bought a Sprite, but after letting Jeremy sip a few times, it now had little floating pieces of popcorn inside. EW! Jeremy then received as an added bonus watered down sprite the rest of the day. Ha-ha. After this, I took him home where his mother was locked out of the house, uh oh. Luckily, I am small enough to crawl through one of the unlocked windows, and safely unlocked the house without the alarm going off. : )  Whelp, that is my day with Jeremy in a nutshell. Mall=Sickness. Ugh. I wouldn't trade an Auntie and Me day for anything in the world though. : ) But wait there's more shopping adventures! Last night, I was feeling up to the challenge of going to Wal-Mart to buy food for the house. Lucas helped load my sick butt into the car and even helped me walk around when I felt weak. #MySweetMan #LoveHimForEver We ended up buying a 12 pack of Vanilla coke (His favorite), A box of Peanut Butter Captain Crunch, and even some things for the babies. : ) Pictures will hopefully be uploaded tonight, if we can figure out how. Have a blessed day and hope to talk to you all later!
