Well it has been a hectic week for us, and then some. First things first though, Happy Holidays! Lucas and I had quite the day on Christmas making sure that we went to each others Christmas'. Some nice things that we received were: 1.) A new laptop 2.) Ted DVD 3.) Somebody Help Me DVD 4.) Franklin (Our Berenguer Reborn Doll baby 14'' long) and we each got several gift cards. We decided to watch Somebody Help Me first, which I had never seen and most likely wouldn't have ever watched without him. It's about these couples that go out to a cabin as a surprise birthday gift for one of the girls, and start to go missing systematically It stars Marques Houston and Omarion as Brenden and "D". Not to spoil it but I have to say the most disturbing scene is when the killer rips out a guys eye balls and fingernails as he is strapped in the seat screaming bloody murder literally. On a lighter note, We went to Walmart today and as we were leaving we noticed a homeless man by the stop sign. Knowing we had to stop there anyways, I asked Lucas to get the emergency bag of M&Ms out of my glove box. (Yes I have one of those ha-ha Thanks Mom!) Lucas rolled down the window and handed the appreciative man the bag saying we didn't have much (which was the truth) but that's what we had on us. The man took it and directly after asked if there was any work he could do for more food. We answered no but told him Merry Christmas and drove off. Shortly after, we drove back to Walmart and handed the man a "Care Package". This package included Original Triscuits, three types of Cheez its, bananas, an apple, string cheese, a Turkey sub, and Christmas Cookies specially made by my mother. We also handed him a bag filled with bottled water and orange juice inside. The mans eyes got big and he expressed extreme gratitude for what we had given him. He told us God Bless Us several times. It made me wonder how a man who had nothing could still lean on God in his situation. Although we only spent $15, it felt like we spent so much less. When we left Walmart, the man waved to us and mouthed God Bless You and thank you. I even think in the distance between the car and him I could see his eyes getting watery. It just feels so great to be able to give to those in need especially during the holidays. Today has definitely turned us into big softies. Ha-ha. As the Holiday Season continues, don't forget those in need. Check back for our next post with hopefully some pictures of Franklin and ourselves. Thanks for reading! : )
