Moms Homemade Christmas Punch

Happy New Years Eve everyone! : ) Lucas and I decided we should put up a few pictures to show why we have been neglecting you. Today was a very busy and long day for us. We woke up at noon, later than we both wanted. We went shopping, and of course we found more than we could ask for. The inventory now includes : A new folding table (of which the laptop is now rested on), a new shirt for Brixen (our son to be), Olive Garden (the 2 for $25 deal), a new accent rug for our bedroom (very sophisticated if I might add), and  last but not least a new bra and some panties from Victoria's Secret (yes I dragged him in ha-ha). Thanks to all the gift cards we only ended up spending $29 of our own out of the total $147.33. Yikes! Ha-ha. With money to spare we can now celebrate right for New Years. We have chosen to spend the night visiting with our friend from Yemen. He is working all night without his family there by. We figured that he would like some company since most people will be out partying and that is just not our style. We found some clothes for Franklin at my parents house that seem to be working, but not nearly the amount I would have liked to find. Some of you might be wondering where the name Brixen came from. Lucas and I have refused to give our children names that are commonly used. The name Brixen comes from the town in South Tyrol in Northern Italy. We originally came across it on the website www.thecutekid.com when we were looking to vote for the cute kid of the year. We fell in love with the name immediately. Plus we thought the name would add a ring to our last name. Brixen Matthews Rutherford. : ) I just wanted to wish you all a Happy New Years before we go, we have quite the night planned as well. Now if only we could get our hands on some of my mothers home made Christmas Punch.....
