Work Daze

Well recently Lucas and I received our paychecks from our works. They were severely less than our previous ones. Collectively we made $126 and some change. We began to look at our hours more and found that with him only working two days a week with a total of 6 hours and myself averaging 11 hours a week (not including this past paycheck), we decided we need to sit down with our bosses and find a happy medium. I am on-call half of the time, which leaves me with much free time as they rarely call in on call shifts. My solution was to ask people who receive more hours for their shifts, which seems to be going well. At his work, it is due to seniority who gets hours, but with a new manager coming shortly we are looking forward to his possible increase in hours. He received a raise to $8.25 and hour not long before the holiday season as well as retro pay for the first two months that he was working in the establishment. Although this is exciting, we have failed to see any increase on his actual paycheck as well as hours. If this keeps up, we may be forced to find other means of income- other jobs, garage sales, etc. As you might have seen,  we have uploaded a picture of us from a few months ago at the beginning of this post.
